Göreme Open-Air Museum
Göreme Open-Air Museum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cappadocia. Located near the village of Göreme, this museum is a collection of Christian and Byzantine cave churches featuring frescoes dating back to the 10th century. The museum houses more than 100 rock-carved chapels, including the famous Chapel of Saint Basil and the Saint John Polyptych. In addition, this open-air museum contains church ruins, monasteries, and tombs.
